Angelina Jolie announced that she recently had a double mastectomy in order to prevent cancer. We shouldn’t be sad, because she did it to make sure that she lives a long healthy life for her kids. Here is her announcement. USA Today:

“My chances of developing breast cancer have dropped from 87% to under 5%,” Jolie writes. “I can tell my children that they don’t need to fear they will lose me to breast cancer.”

She says she feels “empowered that I made a strong choice that in no way diminishes my femininity.”

Jolie salutes her partner, Brad Pitt, who she says was with her during her surgeries at the Pink Lotus Breast Center.

“I am fortunate to have a partner, Brad Pitt, who is so loving and supportive,” Jolie writes. “So to anyone who has a wife or girlfriend going through this, know that you are a very important part of the transition.”

Finally a few weeks ago they went to court to face their charges. Her husband pled guilty to DUI charges and Reese pled guilty to being a dumbass entitled American citizen. Ok I made that last part up. But she did pled no contest to being a pain in the ass. Ok I made that up too but she should have. She did pled no contest to disorderly conduct.

I have never seen Nurse Jackie which is a show on Showtime. Betty Gilpin is putting this show on the map for me. Why you ask? Well she has two big round reasons to get my eyes and balls to the party.
