Super Bowl XLIV Commercials

I’m assuming you watched the Super Bowl last night and as you know the Colts choked and lost against The Saints. I was rooting for the Colts so it sucks that they lost. What the hell was Carrie Underwood wearing? The half time show is one of the worst I have seen in a while, ‘The Who’ are cool but they are too old. Here are two of my favorite Super Bowl Commercials.

That is right mother fu**er keep your hands off!!

TV Ratings week ending November 1st

yankees-phillies-game-2-590x393

TV Ratings are out and the big winner is Fox because of the World Series (Yankees vs Phillies). CBS is still the one network to beat because of the shows it has NCIS and NCIS: LA, even though they were on repeats they scored big numbers. NCIS: LA has already sold it’s syndication rights to USA network, the show is only been in the air for seven weeks. The biggest news is the slow death of the Jay Leno show with Comcast closing in to grab a piece of NBC the writing is pretty much on the wall for Jay Leno. Comcast has been very vocal on what they’re plans are with the show. I guess will see what happens. Full ratings after the brake (numbers TVbynumbers)

Trauma is out

NBC continues bleeding viewers and money for that matter. It has decided to cancel it’s new show ‘Trauma’ which was the most expensive new show to produce in the network, they will finish the order of 13 episodes and after that production on the show will cease. It will be replaced by they’re other shitty show ‘Chuck’. I watched an episode of ‘Trauma’ once and the only good thing it had going for it was the blond chick in it (Anastasia Griffith). If she would’ve been topless more often people would’ve tuned in. Learn from ’Californication‘.(pics of the blond Anastasia Griffith)

Mercy

Ratings are out and CBS is king again with the same winning shows ‘NCIS’ and ‘NCIS: LA’. The peacock is down mostly because ‘The Jay Leno Show’ which managed to lose some of it’s audience and wasn’t able to win in its first in-season episode against a rerun, averaged 5 million viewers Thursday, down from 5.4 million the week before. It was opposite CBS ‘The mentalist’, which lost 3.3 million from the previous week’s original episode (Seriously NBC pull the plug on this one, is done) Mercy one of it’s new shows is gainning viewers and winning it’s time slot on Wenedsdays (Now let’s hope they can build something around it). Besides taht not much activity this week everything is still pretty much the same. Full ratings after the brake. (numbers Zap2it, USAToday)

TV Ratings Oct 12-18

The ratings are out and CBS is number one again by having the number one show NCIS and the fourth show NCIS LA and CSI. The other news is that ABC ‘The modern family’ gain 6% viewership after losing some viewers the weeks after it’s premier. NBC has also seen a growth in viewership for it’s new drama ‘Mercy’ making it the winner for it’s wednesday time slot. NBC is still having problems with ‘The Jay Leno show’ and trying to keep it’s affiliates happy. Full Ratings after the brake (Numbers LATimes)

TV Ratings are out Oct5-Oct11

The fall season is in full swing and we are starting to see some winners this season new shows from CBS ‘NCIS Los Angeles’ and ‘The good wife’ drawing the most viewers by taking the 3rd and 11th place between Oct. 5 and 11 another show getting good numbers is ABC’s ‘Flashforward’ placing 29th. If you look at the top 30 spots the only new shows are the ones mentioned above you don’t see a new show until spot 32 with ‘modern Family’ from ABC. This only spells trouble for some new comers. The other story is that ‘The Jay Leno show’ is averaging between 6 and 4 million viewers which is ok but the affiliates are losing money because they are getting less viewers for their local news. Which is one of the biggest sources of revenue with the affiliates, the situation isn’t looking so good for NBC and Leno. Will see what NBC does to appease their affiliates. The winning networks are at the bottom. The full chart per show after the brake (numbers LA TIMES).

TV rankings are out

The TV ratings are out for Sept. 21-27. Some of the things I’ve noticed is how horrible some tv shows on the CW do and you can tell why they killed the Beautiful Life, it was dead last in 121st place out of 121 shows. Take a look at this and you’ll be able to closely predict which shows will get the ax next. “Brothers” anyone?. Source LA Times

Tv Fall Season Ratings

49328713

The fall season just started about a week ago and the ratings are starting to come out, low ratings already took their first victim “The beautiful Life” cancelled last week. Here are some quotes from the LA Times article:

Through the first four nights of the season, CBS was up a healthy 7% in viewers to an average of 14.2 million, compared with the same period last year, according to the Nielsen Co. Fox surged 35% to 9.4 million, helped along by last Monday’s two-hour premiere of “House,” which averaged 17.1 million total viewers, a huge tally for a drama in its sixth season.

ABC slipped a modest 4% to 14 million, but that doesn’t factor in Sunday night’s premieres of “Desperate Housewives” and “Brothers & Sisters,” two of the network’s strongest dramas (those numbers are not due until later today). On Thursday, “FlashForward,” ABC’s heavily promoted new drama, became the first regular series to beat CBS’ reality war horse “Survivor” among total viewers (12.5 million versus 11.7 million) and young adults since NBC’s “Friends” did so back in 2004

Airing opposite stiff drama competition at 10 p.m. weeknights, NBC’s “The Jay Leno Show” has tumbled since its impressive Sept. 14 premiere, last week averaging a lackluster 6 million total viewers. Overall, the network dived 19% through Thursday to 7 million average viewers, although the picture is sure to improve for NBC once Sunday’s NFL game is factored into the mix.

The CW, aimed at adults under age 35, shrank by 28%, to 2.2 million viewers. In the season’s first casualty, the network on Friday axed “The Beautiful Life,” a glitzy new drama from executive producer Ashton Kutcher, after just two airings. But on the bright side, Thursday’s “The Vampire Diaries” is connecting with its core audience of young women.

So there you go I will post more tangible numbers later today. Update follow link
